Haul

In the past weeks I was able to put my hands on some new (for me) brands of polish.

Finally I own a ZOYA polish.
I was visiting my best friend that doesn't live near me and while walking on a shopping mall my sister saw a stand of polish and told me about it.
To my great surpise there was a huge column of ZOYA polishes in front of me.
They were really expensive, €14, but after a lot of toughts I decided to buy JO, a beautiful periwinkle shimmer polish.

On Christmas Eve I also visited an AVON shop and obviously went to the nail polish department first.

There were a few left and the Matte polish were half the price, €5.50, so I bought Red Velvet and Violet.
I also bought a fresh aloe cuticle gel, who was €5.50 too. I will tell you how it works.

As always swatches coming soon!

I know I'm a little late on the essence and Catrice swatch but I'm working on it!!

Haul: Essence, Catrice, Sinful Colors and KIKO

Like I promised yesterday here are the pics of my latest haul.

KIKO Gold Christmas Limited Edition

No.306 - No.307

The Christmas limited edition polish this year didn't seem very exciting to my eyes.
KIKO released a mat nail laquer in black (first mat nail polish for KIKO) and three polish with a nail art brush in gold, silver and amethyst.

I bought the black mat polish and the gold nail art polish. I didn't bought all the three colors because I already bought an Essence nail art pen in silver and the amethyst didn't seem very opaque to me so I skipped it.

The black mat polish is very beautiful, it take a while to dry but after that it's very pretty. I highly recommend it.

The gold one is pretty too. It's quite opaque. It isn't super precise but it works fine for me.

This polish are € 4,90 each.

Sinful Colors

No.833 Show Me The Way - No.806 Vacation Time - No.940 Rise and Shine

I also found a stand of Sinful Colors. There wasn't a lot of color chioce but it was enough to make it hard to choose which one buy. There were a lot of pink and red ones.
Both the green and turquoise are quite sheer but I think they can be good for layering.

This polish are € 4,90 each.

Catrice

No.110 Poison Me, Poison You! - No.240 Sold Out For Ever - No.150 Big Spender Wanted!

I read a lot about Catrice polish and I'm super happy to be able to have them.
I bought Sold Out For Ever because I heard a lot about it being similar to Chanel Jade. Poison Me, Poison You! was chosen by my sister and I have to say it's really misterious with a lot of magenta shimmer. Big Spender Wanted! is an antique pink with a metallic finish.

This polish are € 2,79 each.

Essence

colour&go No. 38 Choose Me! - No.25 Glisten Up! - No.39 Lime Up! - No.34 Walk Of Fame
METALLICS No.02 Copper Rulez!
multi dimension No.64 Trendsetter
nail art twins Thelma + Louise

Choose Me is definitely my favourite! As you probably already know is a dupe of ZOYA Charla and the other just cheaper!
Copper Rulez! is part of the METALLICS limited edition and is magnetic!! I didn't found out until I came home. WOW!!
The twins are amazing! I bought them as a present for my sister and since she love purple I choose Thelma & Louise, but I also love the blue ones, Bonnie & Clyde!

Colors&go are €1,99 each.
METALLICS are € 2,29 each.
multi dimension are € 1,99 each.
nail art twins are €1,29 each.

nail art painter No.03 Silver Surfer
nail art express dry drops
SOS nail care balm
nail art glitter (flowers, stars)
studio nails fashion sticker No.13 Unexpected!

I still haven't tried this but I'm really curious so I will let you know!

nail art painter are € 1,99 each.
nail art express dry drops € 2,49.
SOS nail care balm € 2,49.
nail art glitter are € 2,29 each.
nal fashion stickers are € 2,49 each.

Long and miscellaneous post

Italy where are you?

A few weeks ago I decided that it was time to order some polishes, so I went to Beverly Beaute.
The polishes were more expensive than on TransDesign, but the shipping fees were very low (only £5) so it was good for me; ZOYA was also available and this was a huge plus for me, since I can't order it from their official site. I selected 4 polishes (with a lot of struggle, I wanted too many!!), put them in my cart and check out. When it was time to put my address, I searched Italy in the countries and it wasn't there!! At first I thought they didn't ship to Italy, but after looking at all the countries I saw in the options San Marino and Vatican City State! Both of them are within Italian boundaries! Obviously it was a mistake so I e-mailed them but there was NO response at all. So I got pissed off and decided to order from Fabuloustreet some Nfu-Oh.
I received them yesterday:
  • Cuticle Remover: I read a lot of good things about it and wanted to try it.
  • Nfu 40: green and blue flakies!!

I'm really happy with my Nfu Oh but I really wanted the other polishes too; this means that I will have to order them somewhere else and it's not easy to find some e-tailer store that ships to Italy with affordable shipping fees. Any ideas?

I also purchased from e-bay some 2 way nail art pens: these are going to be really useful for my future nail art!

Coming soon swatches

Obviously I'm going to swatch Nfu 40 soon because I'm really curious; I still have the MAYBELLINE polishes I recently bought and a basic polish to swatch. So these are basically the polishes that are going to be featured in my blog in the next few days. I also swatched almost all my KIKO polishes and now I have a ton of pics in my PC.
I will post them too as I edit them.

What's next?

First of all I want to tell you that I have a couple of tutorials done and I'm probably going to edit them tonight or tomorrow.

I also decided to add a new "section" to my blog, where I will show you some nails taken from music video, album covers and so on.
My "magazine scans section" is very popular and I hope this one will be too.
If you follow my blog, you already know that I'm totally in love with Asia and my nail art is greatly influenced by it. This new section will mostly feature Asian artists since 90% of the music I listen is Asian. I hope I will be able to stay calm and don't start writing in "fangirl mode"!
I would also appreciate if you have some suggestions or other "sections" that you would like to see in my blog!

MAYBELLINE Haul

Today I found these (new?) MAYBELLINE polishes. There was a special offer, buy one and get one free. There wasn't a lot of colors so I pick up no. 31, a pearl silver with a hint of pink, and no. 5, a vampy purple, for a total of €7.60, good deal!

Mini KIKO Haul

Another mini haul, from KIKO this time. Since KIKO polishes are now €1.90 instead of €3.90 I'm taking advantage of this and buying all the colors that I wanted before, even if I have to say that at this point I bought almost everything that catched my eyes.
I have 32 KIKO polishes at the moment on a total of 105 shades available but a lot of color are extremely close to each others and there isn't a large variety of finishes (basically just cremes, shimmers and glitters).
Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to swatch these and the ones from yesterday if it's sunny. I also have some swatches of other KIKO polishes in my hard disk but I still have to edit the pics so you will see them in the next few days. I'm trying to swatch all of my KIKO polishes but they are a lot...

The following pics are from my lovely sister. She just recently started to love nail polish and stopped biting her nails.
This afternoon she put on ORLY Pixy Stix and proudly went shopping.
Then she asked me to konad her thumbs with CG Awaken and plate m3.

Tiny blue haul

This is what I bought today: Deborah Shine Tech No.35 and Deborah Sense Tech No.03.
I had my eyes on no.35 for a long time. It's a beautiful dark blue creme and if it's like the other shine tech cremes it's extremely glossy!
I didn't like the first Sense Tech polish I bought but I wanted to try this because the color is really appealing, no.03 is a beautiful grayed dark blue.
Swatches coming soon!

To all italian girls:

nei supermercati Esselunga fino al 9 giugno gli smalti Deborah Shine Tech, Deborah 7 Days Long e Rimmel Lycra Pro hanno il 30% di sconto per i possessori carta fidaty. I Sense Tech NON sono in sconto.

Haul

Last week end I went in town and came home with these little goodies.

Since KIKO is having a promotion and all the polishes are €1.90 I bought home:
  • 280 Arancione
  • 298 Turchese Microglitter
  • 299 Verde Ardesia Scuro Perlato
I also totally accidentaly found out some new brands of polish:
  • Astra no.122 (€3.50)
  • Astra no.120 (€3.50)
  • Wet 'n' Wild Dream Black Metallic (€3.99)
  • Miss Sporty no.140 (€2.99)
I read a lot about Astra polishes but it was my first time seeing them.
About the Wet 'n' Wild I was very surprised because I didn't expect to find them in Italy. Unfortunately there wasn't a very large variety of color.
The las tone is from the brand Miss Sporty. This brand is intended for young girls so it's very cheap and the color are basic, mostly pink, peach and nudes.

Well, I still have some polish from the TransDesign order to swatch but after that I will swatch this babies!

Starting spring in the right way...

What's better than starting sping with pastel polish?
NOTHING so...
here are my five brand new polish from KIKO.

(297 yellow, 297 light green, 296 dark green, 295 blue, 290 pink)

Like I posted before KIKO is launching 29 new color for a total of 105 shades available.
With this much color to choose it was really difficult to choose just five of them but today my budget was limited. I think I will soon go back because there are two colors that are on my mind and I would really like to have!

I still haven't tried them because I still have my little apples on my nails and I want to keep them a little longer but as soon as I swatched them I will post them!!

Mini KIKO Haul and about me...

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!

This isn't a "polish only" post so if you're not interested ignore it.

Today I went shopping with my mom again! I love shopping with her because she always give me the best advice and we have similar taste.

My original goal was a polish from KIKO who is really similar to ZOYA Gaia that I really like.
Since I found out that I can't buy ZOYA polish from their official website and I was really disappointed, I'm happy that I found a really similar color.
It's a milky white with gold shimmer. It's originally intended for french manicure so it's really sheer but with three coats it gets opaque enough for me (still VNL tought).

I should have stopped at that but there was that "sparkle touch" polish that really called me. It's silver microglitter in a clear base. This will be perfect over some dark color.

I also went to Sephora and saw some pretty Pupa polishes: a gold one and a dark blue one, both glitters but in the end I was able to restrain myself.

I also took a look at Bijou Brigitte, a jewelry and accessories store.
I bought two bow shaped hairpins and a bow shaped hair tie that you can see below.

Then I went to H&M. I bought a black blouse with a gold and red embroidery and a periwinkle dress that is a really similar color to China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le just a little darker. They are both for summer so I will have to wait a little to be able to wear them. I can't wait!!

Also a little news about me. Tomorrow afternoon I have my driving test and if I pass it I will finally get my driving license!! I'm so nervous!! Wish me good luck!!

Mega Haul

*Sorry if my English in this post isn't perfect but English is not my language and I'm also in a hurry*

This are some polish I bought in the past few days. I'm still waiting to go to the KIKO store because there are a couple of colors that I want.

This are some polish that I bought at the drugstore last week.
They are from the basic brand that I really like lately. I bought two silver because they are extremely small. I also bought a pen for the cuticules that I really like but I will talk about it more later.

Today my mom went to town and, even if I really hate to wake up early, I decided to go with her. It was a while since I went there and I wanted to visit my favourites shops for polish.
I came home with a lot of them but they were so cheap and so beautiful!
My mom was about to faint when in the first shop I grabbed 7 polishes!
Now I will talk a little about them: (I didn't have the time to try them on my nails so my impressions are from what I see in the bottles)
  • 2 MAYBELLINE FOREVER STRONG: No.535 Runway Red and No.810 Chic Gold. The red one is a red creme with a bit of orange. The gold one is gold shimmer but it's not very bright is more muted gold.
  • 1 L'OREAL Resist & Shine TITANIUM No. 502 Ribes Nero {black currant}. It's a very dark color, almost black, with some red reflex.
  • 1 DEBORAH 7 Days Long No.765. I already have a wonderful emerald green of the same brand and I really love it, so when I saw this blue I had to buy it! There was also a grey color but it wasn't that appealing. It's an electric blue shimmer.
  • 1 MAYBELLINE EXPRESS FINISH No.248 Igloo Blue. This one was totally unexpected! A sheer light blue base with gold glitter. I never tought I would see this color in Italy.
  • 1 DEBORAH SOLVENTE CUTICOLE {cuticle solvent}. I haven't tried this so I can't say anything.
  • 2 LAYLA: No. 101 and No. 50. They are beautiful pastel colors, they remind me of lemon and peach sorbets.
  • 1 DEBORAH 7 Days Long MIRROR GLOW No. 156. This one was in a special package (see pictures below) with a lipstick of the same color. I already bought one of this "hearts" in November with a purple polish and lipstick. I'm wearing the purple polish right now so I will add swatch and pictures soon! It's amazing so check it out!
(the heart package with polish and lipstick)
(the inside: in the package there is also a flower brooch/hair pin but I didn't like it so I trew it away)
(The two lipsticks: No. 06 Orange and No. 03 Purple)
  • 1 MAYBELLINE Colorama No.54 Cherry Sweet. A sheer magenta base with a lot of multicolored glitter. It's the first time I see this line and I have to say that there were a lot of great colors. I wanted a lot of them but I had to choose one!
  • 1 BOTTEGA VERDE No. ??? Beige Perla Luce {beige pearl light- strange name!}. It's a shimmer nude/beige color with gold reflex.
If the beauty of this polish wasn't enough to make me buy them, they had to be very cheap too!!
MAYBELLINE, L'OREAL, DEBORAH and BOTTEGA VERDE are all brands that usually cost around €6/7. But in these shops I found them for €3/4.
Since the release of the L'OREAL Resist&Shine polishes I wanted to try them but they were €9 or more!! But today I spend only €5 for my L'OREAL polish. The only let down was that there was only one color but probably they will stock new colors later.
The MAYBELLINE Forever Strong polishes were €4 and the Express Finish was €3.
The DEBORAH polishes were €3 too! The first heart box I bought in November was €6 but the one I bought today was €5 in total (usually the polish alone is €6.20!)
The LAYLA and Colorama polish where €3 but I don't know the usual price.
The polish from BOTTEGA VERDE is at full price €7.99 but I found them in promotion at €1.99. Unfortunately there weren't that much colors, only pearl white and pink.
Today I'm really satisfied!!

I leave you with a cute pic of my cat that I accidentally made while taking pictures of today haul!
She is totally black so it's hard to see her face!!
(I noticed that a lot of people who have a polish/nail blog have cats, is this a coincidence or there is more behind it?!)

TransDesign order recap

(all the thing I recieved)

I have finally swatched all the polishes I got from TransDesign.com and I decided to make a quick recap.

(free color charts)

At TransDesign.com you can have FREE color chart. I got some from China Glaze, Misa and OPI.

My favourite of the OPI polish I purchased is Russian Navy Suede. It has such a wonderful finish. I like also the other colors. La Paz-itivetely Hot Matte is a color that I like but not on me, it's too bright.

I loved all of this polish in the pictures. The two I was looking forward the most were Agent Lavender and Secret Peri-wink-le. I liked this colors but the two that surprised me were Awaken and Shower Together. They are so amazing! With Awaken was love at first sight when I wore it and Shower Together match my skin color perfectly!

(essie Mint Candy Apple, essie Matte About You Top Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat)

Mint Candy Apple is a wonderful color but I don't like it that much on my nails. It's still a pretty color for spring so I will wear it anyway.
I don't think I need to talk about Matte About You or Seche Vite because they are quite famous.

(nail art tools)

I ordered a dotting tool, some nail art brushes, rhinestones and silver and gold studs. I also purchased some dried flowers, some crushed shells and some hologram chopped confetti.

(nail art brushes)

This is a set with a detail brush, a striper and a long striper.
I like the detail brush, is precise but the stripers are a little messy.

(dried flowers, crushes shell and hologram chopped confetti)

I haven't used this yet but you will soon see them in my nail arts.

(rhinestones and silver and gold studs)

This rhinestones will last me forever.
The studs are cute but there isn't much difference between the gold ones and silver ones.

(OPI small purse)

This is a free gift.
It's a small silver purse that doesn't have a purpose yet. But I like it a lot.

This was a quick and short recap.
If you have questions I will gladly answer.

Haul: Drugstore and e-tailer

The other day I was shopping with my mum and little sister. I drag them to a drugstore (it's a Swiss drugstore with a strange name that I don't remember). Here they have more common brands like Rimmel, Maybelline, Deborah and Debby but they also have this Basic polishes that I don't find anywhere else. This polishes are really cheap. The small ones are €0.99 and the big ones are €1.99. Super cheap! The only bad thing is that the small ones have more interesting colors but the bottles are so small that after a mani it's almost empty and unfortunately there aren't always two bottles of the same color.
The polishes above aren't colors that I'm usually fond of but these where appealing! I'm swatching them and I will soon post about them!

The day after my mini drugstore haul, the postman brought me this wonderful box full of goodies.
In the picture above there is my first order from TransDesign.com. This site is great because it has a lot of different brands. At other site sites you can easily bought OPI and China Glaze (even if some of this sites ship China Glaze polishes only within US territory) but I didn't find another site with a lot of brands like TransDesign. There are also a lot of nice things for nail art. I will show more in detail what I bought with swatches and reviews in the future!
The thing I didn't like about TransDesign was the shipping fees. They were really expensive, 1/3 of what I paid was for shipping fees. I didn't like it but later I find out that if you order a maximum of 9 bottles of polish you pay only $ 18 because there are prepackaged boxes. Well, next time I will make a smaller order. I was really satisfied with all the other aspects. The box took only 11 days to arrive and was perfectly packed! The polishes where packed at groups of three in cute China Glaze or Orly boxes with a lot of polystyrene in between. It took me half an hour to open the whole box and take out all the goodies. I wanted it to last the longer possible. I was so excited to hold my first ever bottle of OPI and China Glaze!! It was like I was holding the Holy Grail...
I also ordered China Glaze Calypso Blue but was out of stock so it will have to wait another order.
I will update the blog soon with my new polishes!!

Haul

This is a mini haul.

The polishes above are from KIKO. The base is no. 05 and is a hardening whitener.

The white polish is no. 203, is for the french manicure and has a tiny brush.

The last three polishes are the "Galactic Nail Lacquers" from KIKO's holidays limited edition "Out of this World" collection.
They originally costs €4,50 but now they are sold for €3,90.
The colors are no. 276 Extraterrestrial Coral, 277 Interplanetary Red and 278 Constellation Purple. Swatches coming soon!
Lastly I bought a new polish remover from Broadway. It contains almond oil and has a softening action. It was €3,25 for 250ml.
