NOTD: Christmas Comet

This are the nails I had during this Christmas.
I applied a red polish as a base, then I added some silver stripes and glitter. To end the design I added some silver stars.

{in the pictures my hands are wet...!}

As a bonus some pics of my Christmas!

This are only the appetizers!! Yummy!!!

polish rainbow + kitty + future haul

A few days ago I was organizing my stash and decided to play a bit and divided my nail polish in color groups. I also took a pic of my "KIKO rainbow"!!

In the end I attracted a little devil with all of the commotion I was making!!
She is a new member of our family. Two weeks ago my sister found her under the rain and took her home. She wasn't supposed to stay with us but her adorable face made the whole family fall in love. She still dosn't have a name, any suggestions?

Also I'm super happy because I was able to find some new brands of polish.
Finally I can buy Essence, Catrice and Sinful Colors in my town! Incredible!!
I obviously took home all I could and I will soon show you the pics. Can't wait!

Long and miscellaneous post

Italy where are you?

A few weeks ago I decided that it was time to order some polishes, so I went to Beverly Beaute.
The polishes were more expensive than on TransDesign, but the shipping fees were very low (only £5) so it was good for me; ZOYA was also available and this was a huge plus for me, since I can't order it from their official site. I selected 4 polishes (with a lot of struggle, I wanted too many!!), put them in my cart and check out. When it was time to put my address, I searched Italy in the countries and it wasn't there!! At first I thought they didn't ship to Italy, but after looking at all the countries I saw in the options San Marino and Vatican City State! Both of them are within Italian boundaries! Obviously it was a mistake so I e-mailed them but there was NO response at all. So I got pissed off and decided to order from Fabuloustreet some Nfu-Oh.
I received them yesterday:
  • Cuticle Remover: I read a lot of good things about it and wanted to try it.
  • Nfu 40: green and blue flakies!!

I'm really happy with my Nfu Oh but I really wanted the other polishes too; this means that I will have to order them somewhere else and it's not easy to find some e-tailer store that ships to Italy with affordable shipping fees. Any ideas?

I also purchased from e-bay some 2 way nail art pens: these are going to be really useful for my future nail art!

Coming soon swatches

Obviously I'm going to swatch Nfu 40 soon because I'm really curious; I still have the MAYBELLINE polishes I recently bought and a basic polish to swatch. So these are basically the polishes that are going to be featured in my blog in the next few days. I also swatched almost all my KIKO polishes and now I have a ton of pics in my PC.
I will post them too as I edit them.

What's next?

First of all I want to tell you that I have a couple of tutorials done and I'm probably going to edit them tonight or tomorrow.

I also decided to add a new "section" to my blog, where I will show you some nails taken from music video, album covers and so on.
My "magazine scans section" is very popular and I hope this one will be too.
If you follow my blog, you already know that I'm totally in love with Asia and my nail art is greatly influenced by it. This new section will mostly feature Asian artists since 90% of the music I listen is Asian. I hope I will be able to stay calm and don't start writing in "fangirl mode"!
I would also appreciate if you have some suggestions or other "sections" that you would like to see in my blog!

Update

Hi everyone!

I know I've been missing for more than 3 weeks but I'm back now!

I have a lot of pictures to show you so come back in the next few days.
I also have a few ideas for some nail art but I'm not very inspired at the moment so maybe for that you will have to wait a little longer.

I also got my first ever Konad stamping set and I'm still playing around with it. Until now I didn't make anything worth showing you but as soon as I get a decent konadicure I will show you.

I'm also thinking about changing the layout of my blog because it's a little complicated, I will think about it. If you have some nice layouts to recommend feel free to do so!

If you read my previous post and are curious about my driving license well, I GOT IT! I'm still practicing a bit but I'm confident in my skills! :)

Well, I think that's all for now so stay tuned!

Mini KIKO Haul and about me...

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!

This isn't a "polish only" post so if you're not interested ignore it.

Today I went shopping with my mom again! I love shopping with her because she always give me the best advice and we have similar taste.

My original goal was a polish from KIKO who is really similar to ZOYA Gaia that I really like.
Since I found out that I can't buy ZOYA polish from their official website and I was really disappointed, I'm happy that I found a really similar color.
It's a milky white with gold shimmer. It's originally intended for french manicure so it's really sheer but with three coats it gets opaque enough for me (still VNL tought).

I should have stopped at that but there was that "sparkle touch" polish that really called me. It's silver microglitter in a clear base. This will be perfect over some dark color.

I also went to Sephora and saw some pretty Pupa polishes: a gold one and a dark blue one, both glitters but in the end I was able to restrain myself.

I also took a look at Bijou Brigitte, a jewelry and accessories store.
I bought two bow shaped hairpins and a bow shaped hair tie that you can see below.

Then I went to H&M. I bought a black blouse with a gold and red embroidery and a periwinkle dress that is a really similar color to China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le just a little darker. They are both for summer so I will have to wait a little to be able to wear them. I can't wait!!

Also a little news about me. Tomorrow afternoon I have my driving test and if I pass it I will finally get my driving license!! I'm so nervous!! Wish me good luck!!

About Me

Hello everyone!

My name is Lisa, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Italy.

My No.1 passion is Asia and I already have a blog where I share my passion for Asia with other people.

I decided to open this blog because I really like to wear nail polish and I see in a lot of Japanese magazines really wonderful nails (this is the link to a fantastic blog where you can find different kinds of Japanese magazines about nails but also celebrities, fashion, etc.)

The nails in those magazines are almost all fake and really complicated. So I tried to obtain the same effects on my natural nails at home, without spending a lot of money in nails bars.

I just want to share my experiments and knowledge with other people. Some of my nail creations are really easy and simple, others are a bit more complicated. I take my inspiration from magazines, music videos, album covers and everything around me.

This is my YouTube Channel where you can find my videos.

This is my e-mail: lisaworld88@hotmail.it
You contact me for questions, requests or anything else!

Hope this blog can be useful to you!
