Edgy Half Moon Mani

I've seen tons of half moon manis out there, and I'm sure you have too. Well, I like to do things a tad different, if you haven't noticed. This is my edgier version of it. For this I used Wet n' Wild Hannah Pinktana, and Sinful Black on Black. Trsut me, Hannah Pinktana, is really fairly holo, but I didn't have any sun when I did this mani :(

Here is 2 coats of Hannah Pinktana over black.

This is how I cut my tape to do this design

You then tape it on your nail, like so

Once you polish on your 2nd color, black in this case, remove the tape ASAP, and you will have this

Repeat this for all your nails, and once you're done, add your top coat, mine is SV, Seche Vite

Some New Wet n' Wild swatches....

My hubby asked me to stop at our local Walgreens for some random stuff for the house, and I of course agreed! I had heard about these new Wet n' Wild polishes, and was really hoping they had them, since no where else did. Annnnddd.....THEY DID! Now there are like 7, 8, 9, total, I don't remember, but these are the only ones I grabbed.

Party of Five Glitters (ahhhhh I used to love that show) - yet another big multi glitter similar to Lippmanns Happy Birthday or the Milani Gems. I have the other 2 as well, and I have to say, I prefer this out of all 3! I layered it over black here.

SaGreena the Teenage Witch (these names kill me, lol, literally)

Teal of Fortune, yep cause this polish world needed another Charla dupe, what is this like number 4? I'm not sure why I bought this, lol, I think I own all the dupes *hangs head*

Oh, I MUST say, that just like all the other Charla dupes, this stained terribly!!! And I only had it on for like 15 minutes!!!! LOLOLOL, I just love this pic
Okay moving on, Hannah Pinktana, yep you read right, these names are sooo cheesy! This is actually a holo, but since I was inside, it was very hard to capture. It is fairly sheer, so I layered it over black, and love it!

Sinful Pearl Harbor over Wet N' Wild Nocturnal

I have had Sinful's Pearl Harbor for a while now, and I actually just learned that it is DC'd :( Well I'm glad I got 2, cause it's just sooooo pretty. Here I layered it over Wet n Wild's Nocturnal. I just love the bright blue specks (sigh).

Just not feeling this mani....Oh well, Can't love them all.

I'm not sure why I don't like it, I kind of feel like it makes my nails look nubby. I used Wet n Wild's Nocturnal, OPI Catch Me In Your Net and 10's  #415, the pink base.
I started with the 415, than taped off my nail doing one side of the tip. After that dried, I did the other.

When it came time to do the OPI on my tips, I got kind of lazy and just cut the zig zag end of the tape off, and turned it, so the sides lined up with the Nocturnal tips.

Sexay Scarlet Funky French....

While looking through my stash, I realized just how many reds I have. This used to be my go to color. Well this bright red stuck out, and since I had yet to try it, I did. It's by Wet N' Wild, and it's called Scarlet Red. This was only 2 coats, and great application.

Then of course, I wanted to see what some black tips would look like. For some reason this mani reminds me of a great pair of night out on the town, stilettos.

Okay, after looking back in my pics, I have done this color combo before, LOL. Here is one I did, that hasn't been posted yet

I used Forever 21's Red, so much prettier in real life.

and here it is with s black tip

Note To Self: Do different combos!! : P

2010 New Limited Edition Wet n Wild - Wild Shine Collection

So I stopped in at CVS on my way home from work, and found the new WnW display!! I'm sopposed to be on a no buy, but $1 each, couldn't pass on them. I got most of them, but just so you know, many seem to very familiar. Here are the few I got.

The closest dupe I noticed right away is the new one called Midnight. It looks almost exactly like their DC'd one called Wild Orchid. The only minor difference is that Wild Orchid has slightly more holo.

The other ones I noticed, but didn't compare yet are, Cheers is Kaleidoscopes twin sister, and Celebration is only a teeny tiny brighter than her sis, Carribean Frost. Anyways, on to the swatches

Extravaganza, this does have tiny gold shimmer in it, but my camera chose to ignore them :(

Celebration

Cheers

Tipsy

Spectacle

Fireworks

Midnight

Then I tried the glitter ones, over black, and I love them sooo much more, but then again, Black polish, is my favorite!!
