WARNING - Nekkid pictures ahead (of stained nails, lol)

Morning! Remember how I told you all that Nubar Verde was not very nice to me or my nails. Well I just wanted to show you guys how I semi fixed it. As you can see, I kind of already fixed my pointer, before I decided to take pics, and share with you all. You can still see the icky staining on the others. I hope I don't gross you guys out, lol.

Well using my square purple buffing block, I lightly buffed my nails, and most of the stains out. Now I don't recommend this if your nails are thin or weak, but mine are fairly strong, so just a tad light buffing, doesn't really damage them.

Collistar: Ombretto effetto satinato n°46

Collistar ombretto numero 46 effetto satinato, visto che è l'anno del grigio direi che questa tonalità è perfettamente in tema!

Ha una colorazione molto intensa ma non del tutto coprente quindi non resta "pesante".

Abbastanza facile da sfumare.

Un grigio molto scuro tendente quasi al nero, veramente molto bello.

Non è sicuramente una novità come colore ma è sempre attuale.

Adatto secondo me prettamente alla stagione invernale.

Nubar Verde....It's magical!!

Well I finally own a Nubar. While searching eBay for some new polishes, I came across this. So I did what I always do, and googled imaged my heart out looking at swatches, and decided to get it. OMG, thank god I did, it's such a different color that's sooo pretty. I can't even describe the color, it's way to complex. I'll let the pictures say it all.

Oh but I will say, since my lazy butt didn't put a base on, it stained like crazy, grrrr. Well I'll show you how I semi fixed that tomorrow. Okay, onto the mani.

Make up tutorial: il mio beauty di emergenza!

A tutte succede prima o poi, anche alle più precise: la sveglia non ha suonato e ci troviamo in pochi minuti a dover catapultarci dal letto e da lì direttamente verso il lavoro/la scuola con il tempo sufficiente per lavarci i denti e vestirci.

A me è successo grazie al bug degli iphone il 1 e 2 gennaio (ben due mattine di seguito, diabolica direi!), ma non mi sono trovata impreparata.

Nella mia maxi borsa da giorno, infatti, ho sempre un mini beauty con alcuni prodotti essenziali per un trucco veloce e sono potuta correre ai ripari!

Oggi vi faccio dare una sbirciata nel mio mini kit di salvezza e vi mostro come riesco ad essere presentabile anche con pochi mezzi (vedi: senza alcun pennello!)


Questo è il contenuto del beauty:

• per il viso: un campioncino di fondotinta (Lancome Photogenic), una cipria compatta trasparente (L'Oreal Accord Perfect)

• per gli occhi: una base che sta per finire (Benefit Lemon Aid), una matita che non si debba temperare con ombretto coordinato (Essence Longlasting pencil 08 Touch of Glam e MAC Stars 'n' Rockets), un mozzicone di matita per le sopracciglia (così finita che è impossibile capire cosa sia, penso Max Factor), un mascara quasi finito (Rimmel Sexy Curves), un cotton fioc
• per le labbra: un gloss pesca (Kiko)
  

Come potete ben capire, quando arrivo quasi alla fine di un prodotto lo metto da parte nel beauty, i colori dell'ombretto li cambio periodicamente e li abbino sempre matita/ombretto, i colori che prediligo sono marrone, verde e viola (i miei colori preferiti), vi consiglio un colore in una tonalità media che possa andare bene con tutto oppure che esalti il colore dei vostri occhi!

Ma vediamo adesso come realizzare un trucco veloce e con pochi mezzi!

Procedimento:


Passo 1: dopo aver steso il fondotinta con le dita e fissato con la cipria trasparente, applico la base sulla palpebra. Sistemo le sopracciglia con la matita. Con la matita traccio una linea all'attaccatura delle ciglia












Passo 2: con le dita applico l'ombretto sulla palpebra (per facilitarvi la vita sceglietene uno che si sfumi facilmente e non troppo scuro così eventuali imprecisioni si noteranno meno!)















Passo 3: con il cotton fioc sfumo l'ombretto agli angoli e verso l'arcata


















Passo 4: per la parte inferiore applico la matita e la fisso solo all'esterno passandoci sopra il cotton fioc sporco di ombretto














Passo 5: applico il mascara e il look è finito!

Olive You, Leopard!

I love weird leopard print color combinations, and this one is no exception. Its colors remind me of green olives with the pimentos in them, sitting in the jar waiting to accompany some poor schmuck's gin. 

I can't take credit for this color combination, to be honest, I saw a rug that had the pattern, and I adored it (I wish I had bought it!) so I snapped a picture knowing that it would find its way onto my nails at some point.  I love the 'gradient' (ok not so much a gradient as a color change) from the tip of the nail to the cuticle edge.  The color of the orange shows up really red in the pictures, but its more of a burnt orangey red in real life. I think someone needs to develop one of them so I don't have to mix it. (think Essie Alligator purse, but more orange than red)

Anyway, on to the nails- for now all I have are pictures from the iPhone, because my camera is MIA right now. Hopefully I find it tonight, so I can take a picture of them with a real camera before they get destroyed by acetone. :)  

I used American Apparel California Trooper> as a base, with American Apparel MacArthur Park for the green, and a mix of Essie Alligator Purse and China Glaze Life Preserver for the orange. Topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.
